Dr. Shih is the director of Research Center for Emerging Viral Infections and Professor at the Department of Medical Biotechnology and Laboratory Science at Chang Gung University. Her team has been studying many aspects of emerging RNA viruses, including identification of unknown viruses using novel biotechnologies, mechanisms of pathogenesis and development of antiviral compounds.

Dr. Horng is the director and Professor at Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Chang Gung University. His research focuses mainly on the molecular interactions between RNA viruses and host cells, and on the development of compounds active against influenza virus and enterovirus 71.

Dr. Chiu is the director of Molecular Infectious Disease Research Center at Chang Gung Medical Foundation and Professor at the Division of Microbiology of Graduate Institute of Biomedical Science at Chang Gung University. His research focuses mainly on pediatric infectious diseases and vaccine, bacterial pathogenesis, genetics and genomics.
